A brief history
Opened in 1971, Taybeh's Holy Redeemer Church serves a Latin parish established in 1860. It succeeded the village's first Catholic church, completed in 1865. The parish developed alongside a school and the work of the Rosary Sisters, who arrived in 1908, making the church part of a wider network of worship and education.
An interesting detail
At Palm Sunday, Taybeh's Latin, Melkite and Greek Orthodox congregations join a procession through the village to the ancient Al-Khader church site, a shared celebration documented by researcher Elizabeth Marteijn.
