A brief history
Our Lady of Seven Sorrows is Aboud's Latin Catholic parish church, built in 1952 according to the Latin Patriarchate. The parish's earlier facilities, created in 1910, included a small prayer room and a two-room school. Successive expansions added classrooms and, in 1975, a shared hall for the school and parish, making this a centre of worship and village education.
An interesting detail
The parish's social work included sewing and embroidery centres, established to help village women develop skills and earn an income.
