A brief history
Holy Redeemer Church is the Latin Catholic parish church of Jenin. The Latin Patriarchate records that the mission buildings were constructed between 1950 and 1963 under Father Zakaria Shomali. A kindergarten was added during Father Alphonse Salah's ministry. On 25 July 2025, Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa celebrated Mass in the church during a visit to the community.
An interesting detail
The parish kindergarten welcomes Christian and Muslim children, extending the mission's educational role beyond its own congregation.
