History: Saint Abda Maronite Church, Bikfaya
Parish testimony traces Saint Abda to a wooden predecessor in 1562 and a larger church built by Antoun Gemayel in 1587. Abu Imad Gemayel rebuilt it in its present form in 1630. It became a parish church in 1875; the dome and outer arches were added in 1903. Restoration followed damage sustained in 1987.

The 1587 church included an altar for the Greek Orthodox community alongside Maronite worship.
