History: All Saints Anglican Church, Beirut
Beirut's Anglican congregation worshipped in borrowed churches before the Joly family donated a seafront site at Ain Mreisseh. Construction began in 1912, but the First World War delayed completion until 1929. An Arabic-speaking congregation joined the English-speaking community in 1948. The church closed during the civil war in 1977 and reopened after restoration in the 1990s.
