Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon

Harissa · Maronite Catholic

A brief history

The Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, also known as Our Lady of Harissa, is a Marian shrine and pilgrimage site in the village of Harissa. It belongs to the Maronite Patriarchate, which entrusted its administration to the Congregation of Maronite Lebanese Missionaries from its foundation in 1904.

An interesting detail

Unlike most of Lebanon's ancient churches, the shrine is a modern foundation: it dates only from 1904.
