History: Saint George Armenian Apostolic Church, Hadjin
The Hadjin community began worshipping in a tent in 1922. After Sarkis Bakalian and the community acquired land, a wooden Saint George church was consecrated in 1930. A stone building followed in 1938. The Prelacy's parish history records a thorough renovation in 1964 under Archbishop Knel Jerejian.
An interesting detail
Its parish history traces three successive worship spaces: a tent, a wooden church and a stone church.
