History: Holy Resurrection Armenian Apostolic Church
The foundation of Sourp Haroutyoun was laid in 1930, with building work beginning in 1931. Architect Mardiros Altounian designed the church, completed in October 1934 and consecrated on 28 October. Its name honours both the Resurrection and Haroutyoun, the deceased son of benefactor Nevrig Kehayan.
