History: Saint Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church
Nor Sis's first Armenian church was a wooden building erected in 1931–1932 that also housed the Lusinian school. A stone church replaced it in 1949 and was consecrated on 8 February 1950. In 1963, a marble altar funded by Antranig Atayan replaced the earlier wooden altar.
