History: Saint Vartanants Armenian Apostolic Church
The parish's early wooden church served a community established in the 1920s. A stone replacement was consecrated as Saint Vartanants in 1961. The Armenian Prelacy distinguishes that predecessor from the present building: its foundation was laid on 30 November 1991 and construction was completed in 1998.
An interesting detail
The earlier wooden church was named Saint Gregory before the parish adopted the Vartanants dedication.
