History: Saint Paul Armenian Apostolic Church, Anjar
Anjar's Armenian community from Musa Dagh initially worshipped beneath a tent and, from 1942, in the Haratch school hall. Plans for a separate church took shape in 1958. Its foundation was laid on 1 October 1960, supported by Paul Minasian and community donations, with Kevork Emmiyan as architect.
An interesting detail
The church's 1960 foundation followed years of worship in the Haratch school hall.
