History: Saint Nohra Church, Smar Jbeil
Saint Nohra's church incorporates reused ancient columns and medieval architectural fabric in the historic village of Smar Jbeil. The building is also associated with Saint Basil. Its southern wall preserves a medieval window incorporating a column. The portal's remarkable stone chain was carved by Elias El Khoury, who died in 1902.
