A brief history
The Holy Trinity Church, known in Armenian as Sourp Yerrortutyun and also called Zvartnots, is an Armenian Catholic church in the al-Midan district of Aleppo. Al-Midan grew in the twentieth century as a quarter of Armenian families, many of them descendants of those who reached Aleppo after 1915, and its churches serve that community.
An interesting detail
Its second name, Zvartnots, recalls the celebrated seventh-century cathedral of that name in Armenia, carried here as a memory of a distant homeland.
