CHURCH BUILDING

Church of the Redeemer

Amman · Anglican / Episcopal

A brief history

The Church of the Redeemer in Amman is the largest church by membership in the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem. It is home to an Arabic-speaking congregation and also serves as the meeting place of an English-speaking one, so two languages of worship share the same building.

An interesting detail

Its Arabic name, Kanisat al-Fadi, means church of the Redeemer, the same dedication read in the other language of the congregation.
