History: Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Jabal Al-Hashimi
Our Lady of Mount Carmel developed from worship served by priests from Al-Misdar. A temporary church was blessed in 1966. The present church and priest’s house were built in 1971 under Father Naoum Karadsheh, and Patriarch Giacomo Beltritti blessed the new church that year.

The Patriarchate’s record of Beltritti’s ministry identifies this as the parish’s second church.
