History: Saint Elijah Latin Church, Al-Wahadneh
The present Latin church was built in 1963 under Father Khalil Badawi and blessed by Patriarch Alberto Gori in 1964. Earlier worship had taken place in a small Byzantine church. The modern parish church is a separate building from the archaeological churches at nearby Tell Mar Elias.
