History: Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church, Rumeimin
Rumeimin’s Latin church and priest’s residence were built and blessed in 1907 under Father Joseph Salem. They followed an earlier mission served by a resident priest from 1877. The church is dedicated to the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, within the village’s historic parish complex.
An interesting detail
The Patriarchate’s photographic archive documents the mission’s new bell tower in 1952.
