History: Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus Church, Safout
Safout’s present Latin church was built in 1979 beside the parish house, replacing a much smaller church. Patriarch Giacomo Beltritti blessed it on 14 September that year. The earlier church was then incorporated into the school, separating the newer worship building from its educational predecessor.
An interesting detail
The parish’s first school began in 1935 in rooms beside the earlier church.
