History: Saint John de La Salle Church, Jabal Al-Hussein
The De La Salle school chapel began serving neighbourhood worshippers in 1953. As the school and congregation grew, a larger chapel was commissioned with help from the Brothers of the Christian Schools and benefactors. Patriarch Alberto Gori blessed it in April 1967; the school chapel also serves as a parish church.

Limited funds meant that completing the chapel’s interior took three years.
