History: Saint Paul’s Anglican Church, New Julfa

Saint Paul’s is an Anglican church in the Kocher neighbourhood of New Julfa, Isfahan, beside the Armenian church of Saint Nerses. It grew from the work of the Church Missionary Society, whose mission station in New Julfa was established by the Revd Robert Bruce in 1869. It is one of four active Anglican churches in Iran, with Saint Paul’s in Tehran, Saint Simon the Zealot in Shiraz and Saint Luke’s in Isfahan.
