A brief history

Built in 1655–1664, Holy Saviour Cathedral stands in Isfahan’s Armenian quarter of New Julfa. Its architecture reflects both Armenian traditions and the Safavid setting.

An interesting detail

Plain exterior domes conceal an interior rich in biblical paintings, gilding and colourful tiles.
