A brief history
Saint Mary’s Armenian church was rebuilt in 1785, after the devastating earthquake of 1780. Its present building preserves a later chapter of Tabriz’s Christian heritage.
An interesting detail
Four substantial stone columns support the central dome above its cross-shaped plan.
