A brief history
Saint Paul's opened in June 2015 on land provided by Abu Dhabi Municipality. It brought a Catholic church to Musaffah's industrial district, close to workers' accommodation and expanding residential communities. The opening came fifty years after Abu Dhabi's first Catholic church, Saint Joseph's. Cardinal Pietro Parolin and Bishop Paul Hinder attended the inauguration.
An interesting detail
Its dedication honours the apostle Paul; the inauguration notice also connects his name with Bishop Paul Hinder.
