A brief history
Our Lady of Fatima is the Latin parish church of Beit Sahour. Its nineteenth-century church was extensively remodelled in the mid-twentieth century by architect Antonio Barluzzi. The stone altar tells the story of Jesus' infancy through carved panels. In 2008, an engineering project replaced the interior columns with slimmer supports to improve the congregation's view of the altar.
Saints & traditions
Saint Marie-Alphonsine served in Beit Sahour in 1885 and helped establish a girls' school. The parish honours her with a shrine and garden.
