History: Evangelical Lutheran Church, Beit Sahour
The Lutheran congregation in Beit Sahour developed around a mission school established about 1900. Its new church was built in 1956. The congregation and school remain closely connected: the church stands on the school grounds, and the chapel is also used by pupils during the week. The church's account describes a warm wooden interior with local artwork.
An interesting detail
The congregation founded its Scout group in 1995, extending its youth activities beyond the school and worship services.
