History: Saints Sergius and Bacchus Greek Orthodox Church, Kousba
Hany Kahwagi-Janho's architectural survey identifies the Kousba parish church as medieval, with restoration or rebuilding recorded in 1842. Its single nave has a barrel vault and a long rectangular plan ending in an apse. The study places it among the traditional Orthodox churches of Koura and analyses the proportions of its interior.
An interesting detail
The architectural survey finds an interior length approximately three times its width.
