A brief history

Saint Andrew’s congregation opened a refugee centre in its Guild Hall on 11 October 1979. Initially offering conversation, tea and English lessons, the initiative expanded into education and advocacy during the 1980 s and became Saint Andrew’s Refugee Services.

An interesting detail

The church and Saint Andrew’s Refugee Services share the downtown address at 38, 26 July Street, bringing worship and practical community assistance together.
