History: Saint Mary's Indian Orthodox Church, Ras Al-Khaimah
Saint Mary's Indian Orthodox parish moved from its earlier Nakheel premises to land granted in Al-Jazirah Al-Hamra in 2006. Groundbreaking and foundation ceremonies took place on 26 December 2008. The present church was consecrated on 18 February 2011, providing a new permanent home for the Ras Al-Khaimah congregation and its parish activities.
An interesting detail
The church's move connects two different chapters of the parish: its earlier Nakheel worship premises and the present Al-Jazirah Al-Hamra building.
