A brief history
Saint Martin's was started by the Royal Air Force in 1926, which makes it the oldest Anglican foundation in the United Arab Emirates — begun as a chapel for an air station, decades before the country existed. It belongs to the Chaplaincy of Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, within the Anglican Diocese of Cyprus and the Gulf; Holy Trinity in Dubai followed it in 1970, Christ Church at Jebel Ali in 2002, and Saint Luke's at Ras Al Khaimah after that.
