History: Saint Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church, Fujairah
Fujairah's Indian Orthodox congregation began in 1978 under the Sharjah parish, meeting in a private home and later a hall. Its own church was consecrated on 29–30 May 2003 by Metropolitan Job Mar Philoxenos. The same ceremony elevated the congregation to parish status, marking the transition from borrowed worship space to a dedicated church building.
An interesting detail
The diocesan account records a dual dedication to Saint Mary and Saint Gregorios of Parumala.
