A brief history
The parish history dates Saint Mary’s foundation stone to 25 January 1934 and its consecration to 22 August 1935. A negotiated exchange of neighbouring land allowed its grounds to expand.
An interesting detail
The parish preserves a devotional account of a Marian apparition during an air raid in 1942. This is local religious testimony, not an independently established miracle.
