A brief history
The parish account describes a tile workshop converted for worship after Father Bishoy Kamel acquired the site in 1971. Bishop Maximos celebrated the first liturgy on 12 July that year, the Feast of the Apostles, beginning the Sidi Bishr congregation’s life.
Saints & traditions
The paired dedication honours Mark the Evangelist and Peter, Alexandria’s seventeenth patriarch, bringing two figures of Alexandrian Christian memory together.
