History: Saints Isaac and George Greek Orthodox Church, Doha
The Greek Orthodox church in Doha's religious complex had its foundation stone laid on 16 April 2010. Patriarch Theophilos III consecrated the completed church on 22 February 2019. Dedicated to Saint Isaac the Syrian and Saint George, it gave the congregation its own sanctuary after an earlier period of worship in a hall at the American embassy.
An interesting detail
For the consecration celebrations, a choir from Thessaloniki sang alongside the local Arabic-speaking choir.
