History: Saint James Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church, Doha
Saint James became a separate Jacobite parish in Doha in 2001, following an earlier community established in 1979. Land at Abu Hamour was allocated in 2005, and the foundation stone was laid on 27 January 2006. Patriarch Ignatius Zakka I consecrated the new church on 26 February 2009, giving the parish a permanent building in the religious complex.
