History: Protestant Church of Oman, Sohar
After a request in 1990, land for Sohar's Protestant church was granted in 1992. Construction began in 1996, the building was completed in 1997, and its dedication took place on 30 October 1997. The church's history, drawn from its 2013–14 annual report, records this progression from a proposed northern Oman congregation to a permanent worship building.
An interesting detail
Alongside English worship, the church has supported ministries in Urdu, Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil.
